Board of Studies for Economics Meeting
The Economics Board of Studies meeting was held on 3rd of October, 2019. The meeting was chaired by Dr. Azam Amjad Chaudhry, Professor and Dean, Department of Economics. The agenda of the meeting was as follows:
- The Lahore School of Economics Vision and Mission Statements and Strategic Plan 2018-2028
- Mission Statement of the Degree Programmes
- The Vision, Mission, Skills and Values for all Programmes accredited by NBEAC and link with courses there in

The following decisions were taken:
- Metrics in strategic plan should be revised to incorporate benchmarks and ratios should be defined e.g. how is quality measured?
- Recently published text book should also be used as per Dr. Rehana’s suggestion “Essential Mathematics for Economic Analysis.” In Mathematical Economics course.
- Prerequisites for courses should be mentioned in future course outlines.
- For double majors in economics and finance the word policy makers should be used in mission statement.
- Behavioral economics course could be offered as an optional course.
- Students having CGPA less than 1.75 should be required to have a session with the Academic counsellors.
