Dr. Naved Hamid

Professor and Director, Centre for Research in Economics and Business (CREB)

Dr. Naved Hamid is Director at the Center for Research in Economics and Business (CREB) and Professor of Economics at the Lahore School of Economics. Prior to joining the Lahore School of Economics, Dr. Hamid was at the Asian Development Bank (ADB) where he worked in various capacities, including Principal Economist for South Asia and Deputy Country Director and Economic Team Leader for Pakistan. Before joining ADB in 1988, he was Professor of Economics at the Lahore University of Management Sciences, and prior to that he was Associate Professor in the Department of Economics at the Punjab University. In addition, he is, or has been, a member of a number of Government economic committees and working groups including the Advisory Committee of the Planning Commission, Chief Minister's Advisory Committee on Punjab Growth Strategy, Advisory Panel of Economists to the Planning Commission, and Punjab Chief Minister's Economic Advisory Council.
